Just a quick question for a few readers that listen to hip hop. After listening to any of the new albums that came out and the songs you hear on the radio, how do you feel?? Is music taking a turn for the worse or are you satisfied with the music you hear these days? Please comment and leave your opinions.

The new is okay, but it lacks originality and hunger. Also creativity. I think Hip Hop is still alive, but in the hearts and minds of true Hip Hop fans.

Hip Hop used to be about telling a story, now its about selling records by using one catchy beat and using swear words and slang to fill in the other 2 minutes and 45 seconds in a 3 minute song.

I think Hip hop is still very much alive. You just have to find it. The aspects that are present now have always been there. Now it is mostly about what sells, so if you looking on the radio and the top of charts, you won't find it there.

Hip Hop used to be the vehicle relaying the message of social consciousness and unrest. Now it is degraded and meaningless. Not all of it, obviously, but the vast majority of what you hear is pure garbage that speaks of nothing but sex and consumption.
