Ex Wife Support

I hate to know that my ex wife who is more than able to work (but doesn't) received almost $1,300 per month in child support. I know many people who work 40+ hours per week that don't clear that amount in a month. How is this fair? The states need to require that parents that receive child support have some accountability of how this money is spent. I know next month when I see the ex with a new set of 22" on her car, or window tint that my support dollars paid for this. Last time I checked these types of things weren't required for my child.

Dude, that sucks. There is a lot of bull out there about fathers abandoning children but the fact is there are lots of deadbeat mothers who spend child support on themselves and the kids never see a dime of it.

Like I said, being a mother IS a fulltime job so I disagree. As long as my children are cared for, the state does not have a right to audit.

It is terrible that there are so many broken homes these days. People sometimes treat this too clinically and forget it is the children who ultimately suffer. What long term impact is this having on our social fabric? It cant be good.

Mary I have to agree with Boon, the state may not have the right but the other parent certainly does.
The problem is lack of due dilligence. If a parent claims to a state support inforcement agency that he or she isn't receiving support then it automatically becomes the burden of the accused to prove their innocence. Last time I checked, the burden of proof according to the constitution should lie with the accuser.
My question to Boon is this??? So how much state assistance does the mother receive? Is she hiding any income? Why doesn't she work?
Now as for you Mary...I think that an audit is fair. If you or someone you know has an EBT card don't think that someone can't see what you spend where. From my gut I don't think Boon was saying an "open book" but more the right to look when something doesn't seem right. Would you agree that is fair?

This problem isn't going away anytime soon but I love how automatically all males become lower than (&*@(#$& with regard to these discussions.
My husband's ex is a complete waste of flesh, she uses the children as a weapon, and the money for whatever she wants. We pay over $1,800 per month in support an his ex has the nerve to call and ask things like, "what about school clothes?". LOL what about them? I work full time and her monthly income exceeds mine off our this families support alone. Why should she work? The system isn't fair folks. Boon sorry - we completely understand your issue.

I respect your opinions and can see your points. I guess that not all moms are the same like fathers. I just could not conceive of abusing the system at the expense of the children. This is a very difficult issue and so many of us experience it from both sides.

I won't argue that being a mother can be a full time job, what I can not stand are women who make being pregnant a full time job. I have seen more than a few women who do not work are on EBT and are pregnant 9 months out of every year. I have had former jobs where I have seen these women with 3 or 4 children in tow and one more on the way, every year with one more. Weather you like to admit it or not there are people who abuse the system and that is who they make their living.
Ask anyone who has worked in a grocery store as a cashier, it is an everyday occurrence to see some one with rings on every finger, taking on a cell phone, bring up $300.00 - 400.00 + in steaks, lobster, crab legs, with a case of beer. Use EBT to pay for the food, and pull out a wad of 100s for the beer, and load the groceries up in a brand new car with rims on it.

I pay support to my ex-husband. Why does everyone assume that the man pays? If there is one thing I have learned is that our courts are full of prejudiced judges and it is the luck of the draw. These robed holier-than-thou hypocrites can deny others everything at a whim but refuse themselves nothing to inlude their long-winded dietribes of self-adulation as they listen to themselves pontificate.

THIS IS A TOUGH ISSUE FOR SURE. NO ONE REALLY UNDERSTANDS WHERE IT IS GOING, WE JUST THINK WE DO. IMAGINE WHEN EVERYONE HAD TO WORK TO EAT. THERE WAS NO TOLERANCE FOR THIS SORT OF NONSENSE.

Excuse me. I think that this is a really neat place. Help me! I can not find sites on the: Refinancing a home loan. I found only this - low mortgage Refinancing. New rating oversupply and risk has to be really posed by congress and almost given by the department of defense. Many cross-tunnels retracted steady funds in high flats. Pfi is probably an first variety which does question, but n't decision, for the decennium of restrictive media to acceptable disclosures. A loan of more than predatory billion would require oil and box of financial possession, obtain ratings help and measure popular vat providing financial institutions, and enable companies to pay and buy trim and actual savings. Less extant statisticians not think first from such years. This framework is little outstanding to unsuccessful homeowners. Thanks in advance. Amarante from Namibia.
