Want to talk about a "wealth redistributor?" Look no further than Sarah Palin. In a state with no income or sales tax, how do the residents of Alaska receive annual checks reaching four figures from the state government? It is quite simple. The Alaskan state government has levied substantial taxes on oil companies to fund this redistribution of wealth--the receiving of funds not obtained by the economic means of voluntary exchange but by the political means of coercion. I'm sure that governor Palin fails to realize that a binary intervention of taxation decreases the marginal utility of work. Furthermore, simply being in support of the bailout of the financial industry, which amounts to a large-scale nationalization of the financial sector, makes Sarah Palin a socialist. Governor Palin should brush up on the definition of socialism, part of which is state ownership of the means of production. Sarah Palin equals a failure of epic proportions.
