Live Life To The Fullest!!!!!!! The Fayetteville Observer reported Tuesday that 27-year-old Matthew Alexander Rivera of Hope Mills was being held on $25,000 bond. Rivera was charged after a standoff that lasted just over an hour at Priscilla's.
Police said a store employee held hostage was freed and Rivera surrendered about 2 p.m. Monday. Police Lt. David Sportsman said the incident started when a man carrying what looked like a bomb walked into the store and told the manager to call police.
The false bomb was made with Play-Doh, batteries and wire arranged like an explosive. The arrest report said the man carried a fake gun.
