The NBA draft is now over and after the Boston Celtics showed everyone that Boston is still alive one would wonder what are the NBA team owners, presidents, and powers to be are thinking as far as stopping the Celtics next year. In the history of the NBA, Boston has had won 17 championships.  I think that the title that will take the title from Boston will be a team full of veteran’s. Yes, the new guys Chris Paul, LeBaron James, Andrew Bynum just to name a few have the drive to win the title but they are not season. I believe totally that the team that will knock the Celtics off will be the Detroit Pistons. With a disappointing season Joe Dumars has alleviated Flip Sanders from his coaching position.

As a Pistons fan I would have to say that Flip Saunders overall did a good job of coaching their team and of course Detroit is still one of the elite teams in this league and one of the most playoff tested teams even though they didn't get the results they were looking for...! However,  I think a change was necessary for the team... It may have been his coaching or the fact that he didn't encourage the team enough to perform their best in pressure situations like Larry Brown used to do...! He had his chances with this team and he did accomplish a lot at times but it was never what the Pistons actually wanted... Detroit needs a new life and has to start off fresh with a new coach... There may be some changes made to the current roster but the team basically consists of the same experienced players that played together for many years and won the Title!

After all,  its said and done a change was necessary and many other adjustments may have to be made... but since Joe Dumars (GM) is experienced at his job and has been handling the club for a long time... we should all trust his decision making and wait to see how the Pistons develop over the following season...!
