Review: "Use Me" Hinder Follow Up

During my first offering on Hinder I no doubt made it clear that harsh comments or the critical keystroke would be difficult and after hearing the latest single, "Use Me" by Hinder I still remain a biased fan.

"Use Me" falls right in as a nice counter to all things Hinder, the themes remain incredibly rock-n-roll as the tale of sex and youth are just what a music scene full of sound a-likes and parental bashing whiners needs. The track is polished a little more than I typically enjoy but for a second offering it was to be expected; more money, more time in the studio, more curiosity to tinker with the world of production gizmos and gadgets. From the opening the song has a heavy AC/DC feel that reminded me of "For Those About to Rock"; but no complaints here. Lyrically Hinder's front man is again showing the distinction that makes him a strong candidate for a Jr. grade rock god in the making; his phrasing, grit, and overall attitude spill over loud and clear. Guitar wise the track is "in the pocket" and not to far over the top to attempt to highlight a shred king, pleasantly tasteful although the solo is just incredible. The song’s hook is right in line with solid writing and it’s clear that the band sought to ignite an anthem like offering that will not only keep you humming long after the music stops but will transpose nicely into a crowd pumping "everyone sing it" pleaser.

The Good - Its fun and dirty with a clear message, turn it up and rock.

The Bad - Short on word here although it would seem that portions of the vocal tracks were subdued in the polished production.

The Bottom Line - If this is any indication of how Hinder's next offering will finalize it as a definite win for the band, Hinder fans, and the Rock-N-Roll genre.

Its Rock-N-Roll or is it Wine, Woman, and Song?
I should first prior to giving praise or slinging mud state that I have an extreme bias when reviewing this album. First and most importantly, my step father has served as the band's tour bus driver in the past and I myself have reaped the benefits of this relationship by being showered with merchandise, tickets, and photo opps. That said, here's my thoughts on Extreme Behavior Hinder's Debut release...
